The summer is fast approaching on the Isle of Flooney, off the west coast of Scotland. Preparations are underway for the influx of visitors – family, friends and holidaymakers from near and far – who are as reliable and welcome as the ocean’s tides. For Willie MacKinnon, a local harvester of one specific shellfish, all is well. But unbeknownst to Willie and anyone else on Flooney is that an investment of epic proportions is being planned for the island. One that will change the course of its history in no insignificant way. It is also one that would force Willie to confront his past, a past he had left dead, buried and far behind. The only question was, would he survive that lovely horrible summer?
