About the Author

Born in Scotland, Iain has lived in Nigeria, Iran, Canada, and the United States. After serving in the US Marines he worked in the corporate world for seven years and later aboard a few fishing boats in the Hebrides. He played the bagpipes at a wedding in South America and in the musical, Brigadoon, in Michigan. Not knowing it at the time but reading Tolstoy’s War and Peace aboard a ship crossing the Atlantic led to a lifelong interest in the written word.
